The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation  protects the residents of Illinois, ensures the safety and soundness of financial institutions, ensures that competent professionals are licensed to provide services to the public, and enhances commerce in the state of Illinois for the benefit of all its residents.   Within IDFPR, the Division of Real Estate coordinates licensing of real estate professionals in the state, including community association managers.  Detailed information may be found at www.idfpr.com/DRE.asp

In addition, the Condominium and Common Interest Community Ombudsperson  (CCIC Ombudsperson) is also found in the IDFPR Division of Real Estate.  The mission of the Ombudsperson is to provide information and education to unit owners, condominium and common interest community associations and their respective boards in order that they may better understand their rights and obligations  under the law.  The documents found below are provided as a resource to ACTHA members and are taken directly from the IDFPR site.   Additional information is available at https://idfpr.illinois.gov/ccico.html.
