As described in a recent article in Crain's Chicago Business, current market conditions including high rents and relatively low interest rates have led to an increasing number of condo deconversions in the Chicago area.

Condo deconversion is a process by which a condominium association sells each individual unit (in bulk) to a single investor who converts the units to rental product.

The de-conversion trend and the Section 15 sale process will be discussed, as well as the challenges presented in the Section 15 sale transaction.   Ms. Elmore will share her experiences in handling these transactions on behalf of small, mid and large sized associations, best practices, and more.
